Be Kind to animals
This afternoon, the 2-year plus boy next door reminding his ah-ma to feed the goldfish. He said, "Ah ma. fish mum-mum". When ah-ma passed him few pellets to feed the fish, he was contented. Soon, he was running off to play superman with a towel tied to his neck with his older brother.
The act was an intuitive one, I believe. This little act reaffirms my belief that men are kind by nature.
But, I cannot help but to wonder what went terribly wrong in the growing-up process that human beings become heartless, cruel, brutal ...

HONG KONG -- Animal rights campaigners brought a fur seminar at Hong Kong Fashion Week to a sudden halt Monday after they hijacked the event, shouting slogans and waving banners.
Two women from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), an international animal welfare group, suddenly stood up in the middle of the seminar attended by 100 people from the fashion industry, chanting "Fur is Murder".
They struggled to unfold banners reading "Fur Hurts" before being pinned down by security guards and dragged out of the room.
Once outside, the activists stripped off to reveal two banners -- on their front and back -- that read: "We'd rather go naked than wear fur" and "Turn your back on animal cruelty".
PETA campaigner and spokeswoman Rebecca Chui said: "We want the Fashion Week attendees to know that fur means cruelty to animals. They suffer terrible pain from the time they are caught.
"Some of them are skinned alive. Some are killed by poisoning, gassing or anal or vaginal electrocution. We are in the 21st century and there is fur substitute now. There's no excuse to kill any more animals," she added.
In a statement, the Hong Kong Fur Federation called PETA's views about the fur industry "one-sided" and "extremely regrettable".
"Hong Kong Fur Federation believes legal, fair and reasonable communications will help build a constructive dialogue between the industry and animal concern groups," it said.
The federation stressed that the industry only used the fur of wild animals and those raised on farms bound by international regulations and laws. It added that all farmed animals were properly treated, well fed and housed in good and healthy conditions.

已经有好一段日子没有blog了。说得确切一些，我是没有在这里留言、写字。
这是blogging最大的挑战，能常常更新内容。
不是我的生活太没趣，抑或是我失去了敏感的味蕾——那个习惯细细品尝生活点滴的味蕾。
其实，写东西也得看对象。
由于各位浏览这个网页的都是"16以下" 的小朋友们，有些比较深入的东西未必适合你们。不是你们不够聪慧或成熟，而是不忍心让你们在阅读的过程中失去你们的童真。
因此，给学生阅读的东西是经过多层的思考。
今天，我决定豁出去了！

晚上大约8点半左右，我收到一通电话。内容如下
他：Is this Mr. Ong? This is *blah* brother. Can I check whether my brother is with you now?
我（**** x n times）：Nope. He isn't. He is on his way from SIS.
他：Ok. Thank You.
我（bitching mode）：So is your mum going to to pick up your bro?
他：Yes yes.
我 （roll eyes）：Ok.
[事前，当事人已经打电话给（1）学校的General Office（2）maumu 的办公室号码 (3)yours truly (4)HTA guardhouse，并发现原来孩子的名字不在名单上 (5) maumu's 手机 （6）打电话给我，却不讲话……]
其实，这是一个过分紧张的家长的表现行为。天下父母心。这是再自然不过的事了，可是如此紧张孩子的母亲，我还是第一次接触。一次、两次，我可以忍受。n次……Sorry, 我真的很想建议她干脆把孩子拴在家里算了。
怎么说，孩子已经念中学了，还把孩子当‘孩子’对待。母爱是伟大的，没错；过分的母爱却会让周围的人窒息！我不禁在想，我何必给自己找麻烦，为了她孩子的身心发展而影响了全世界人的身心健康！
对这位当事人的孩子，我不是对你有意见。其实，我可怜你多过可怜我自己。
